Even "Honest" Non-Puta Chicas like to Steal, Too!
I have read this (and said it myself) many times before. Never leave your valuables unsecured...unless you are prepared to have them stolen...even a "good" chica can be tempted to steal! Last night, I caught my quasi-novia skimming two 10K Colones notes.
Another "Lesson Learned" during my 10th trip to Costa Rica... I have read this (and said it myself) many times before.
Never leave your valuables unsecured...unless you are prepared to have them stolen...even a "good" chica can be tempted to steal!
Last night, I caught my quasi-novia skimming two 10K Colones notes (about $40) from my wallet. She is now my ex-novia...
I first met Guiselle, who worked behind a bar in SJ, last September. Guiselle (from what I could tell) is a non-puta who earned her money, the old fashioned-way, by working for it. Unfortunately, even good, "honest" chicas can be tempted to steal if given the opportunity.I took Guiselle and her daughter to Puerto Viejo for a 4-day vacation last week. Since Guiselle is now unemployed (after the closing of her bar two weeks ago) and summer break is in effect for Costa Rica schools, it was relatively simple to make the getaway.
Our 4-day trip was excellent...neither Guiselle or her daughter had ever been to the Caribbean and they enjoyed themselves immensely.During our 4-days together, it seemed like I was missing a few colones every time I opened my wallet. I tightened up on security and kept my wallet hidden (just in case I wasnt imagining things).
When we got back to San Jose, Guiselle hit me up for 15K Colones ($30) to cover incidental expenses while she was gone. Even her daughter was taken aback with her moms nerve to hit me up so soon after our return. I bit my lip...knowing that she is now unemployed...and gave her the money. Guiselle gave me a day of breathing room, but returned yesterday to spend the evening with me. I took the opportunity to test my hunch...and decided to set her up.
I counted 59K and stashed it in my cargo pants pocket. After we had sex, I made a head call...long enough to give her time to find the money...and returned to bed with her. We finished watching "Gangs of New York."After we got dressed, Guiselle asked me if she could have cab fare...(no problem)...but when she asked me for another 15K Colones to cover the phone and electric bills...I told her no. I explained that I would give her the cab fare, and reached into my pocket. Yep...I was short 20K Colones.I confronted Guiselle...but she replied with a terse "No se!" She continued to press me for the 15K, but I told her that I was now out of money, could not pay my hotel bill, and would be out on the street sleeping in a cardboard box by the next day. That didnt seem to matter to her, though. She reminded me that she was now unemployed...and needed to feed her children and keep a roof over her head. I showed her the door. She told me that she would be back (today), but I reminded her that I would be busy with my buddies from Jersey.
I am not trying to hold her to a standard that I could personally not live up to...I would probably do the same thing if I were confronted with similar circumstances. However, I have no desire to continue a relationship with someone who has broken my trust. Needless to say, Guiselle and I are "no mas"...her loss...and my gain.
The Lesson Learned (or "re-learned") from all of this...keep your valuables secure and out of sight when in the company of a chica...regardless of how well you think you know or trust her. Even a "good" chica can't resist the temptation to steal.
